Richard was schooled at The Wallace High School in Lisburn and continued to study optometry at UMIST in Manchester. He worked in private practices in Thames Valley and Zimbabwe. After a year of travelling the globe he worked at the optometry department of Hogeschool Midden Nederland in Utrecht, The Netherlands. A move to Glasgow saw him working for a busy private practice in the centre of the city and becoming manager for several years. In 2000 he took over the optometry business in Northern Ireland which he still runs.
Richard is a very skilled photographer of nature and wildlife and he enjoys baking and spinning. He is married and has three daughters.

Lisa is our longest serving member of staff and has 17 years experience as an Optical Assistant, of which 14 years in our practice. She is married and lives in Portadown. She enjoys travelling and has an interest in walking and running.
